Just like Terengganu is famous for keropok lekor, Seremban is famous for one particular food called Siew Pao. Have you heard of it? If you’ve not, let us give you a brief history of Seremban Siew Pao.
Seremban Siew Pao was first discovered in the 1970s and “siew ” translates to “bake” in Cantonese and Pao is simply derived from the word Bao for the bun itself. It is famed for having pork filling but since the majority of the population is Muslim, they also sell Siew Pao that are filled with chicken. These Siew Pao may be found almost anywhere in Seremban, including local coffee shops.

1. Warong Seremban Siew Pao

Being one of the most popular bakeries, Warong Seremban Siew Pao is an excellent choice to get your Seremban Siew Pao. You would be greeted with a great aroma as you walk in due to the Siew Pao, which is a baked pastry loaded with barbecued pork!

You’ll find golden-coated siew pao here and they are a huge brand that has distributors in Singapore and China. Aside from the trademark traditional handmade siew pao, goods like egg tart and bean paste biscuits are also popular!
